Selûne is a goddess of the moon worshipped in Faerun. She is one of the oldest deities known to Toril. Her sister and opposite is Shar.
Selûne dwells in the Gates of the Moon in Ysgard, a moonlit realm on a milky sea. Rumors say the waters surrounding their realm are slowly drawing the River Oceanus across the boundary from Arborea, but this tenuous link is as changeable as the tides.
She is served by the Slivers and Shards.
