WoAdWriMo Challenge anyone?

Whilst surfing for some ideas for adventure writing, I came across the following site:

Worldwide Adventure Writing Month
June is Worldwide Adventure Writing Month.
Join us in expanding the number of free, downloadable adventures for tabletop roleplaying games!
The goal is to write a complete 32+ page adventure module by June 30th, 2007.

So is anyone up for the challenge of writing a Planescape adventure? Perhaps this could be made in to a competition? Laughing out loud

Is this a write one 'by' June, or write one 'in' June? Like how NaNoWriMo is restricted to a single month?

"...to write a complete 32+ page adventure module by June 30th, 2007..."

I don't think that I could write one in a month unless I took quite a bit of time-off. The aim of the intiative is to have the adventure completed by (or before) June 30t 2007.

Hiya Ashy, I only noticed the Adventure Writing Month recently - I don't always amange to keep up to date with things and work keeps me pretty busy.

Yes, I met you once briefly at GenCon and know you from awhile back. I played the Gypsie King in the "Roaming City" play-by-message-board if you remember that. Been around in the PS scene on-and-off for longer than I care to remember Laughing out loud

I like your signature Smiling Who can forget a tiefer such as yourself and suren? I've had a tiefer by the name of Ashenbach appear at least once in the PS games that I have run.

Calm down now, Ashy; I think it's time for to get your meds (what? I guess we forgot to emphasis the ol in "ol tiefer" Sticking out tongue ) :snicker:

Note: Just messin...that's cool. In what role did the tiefer play?

The NPC Ashenbach in my campaigns always appeared as a very well dressed tiefling with a great deal of planar knowledge. He'd dispense some much needed advise and the adventurers would spend some time trying to track him down to get an explanation.

One group trying to track down the wily tiefer came to suspect that Ashenbach was actually an Ash Mephit in disguise (no one takes mephits seriously, hence the tiefling persona).

Anyway, back to the original topic. I think that what would be great is if we had some more PS adventures. There's a possibility that I'll be running another game in London (England) if I can find a venue and I'll be play-testing out some adventures that I have formulated (i.e. works in progress).

Very interesting. What format (PBP, in-person, etc.) will these be done?

It'll be in-person, most likely in a pub. The vanue is a pub in Kingston, now I just need to confirm the player attendance. Planning, planning, planning, it is the burden of a GM Cool
