wilberton a possible new plane?

I had this idea, its kinda based on the movie "the Village" by Mnight Shamalan, it is basically a midevil type of town, like a fief, that is completely surrounded by forest, and out side this 20 day wide forest surronding it is 400 ft wall made of adimentine, and out side the walls is a large settle ment of Pit fiends and other Devils, who keep human slaves.
anyways, the Devils had a myth saying that a group of large creatures live in these woods, and these Devils thought the myth true, the only ones that know are the lords of nine, who set up this "prison". anyways, a mage named geoffery wilber was a prisoner here, and found that the myth was untrue. one day when he was mining, he dug a large tunnel under the fence, and clocked the entrance with a rock, (they have poor gaurds). In the next few days he led a crew of about 20 through the tunnels, and then blew the tunnels up, so they could never return. In the woods, they found animals to hunt, surprizingly, and survived. when they came to a clearing, the formed a town that they called Wilberton, hence the name. this was over fifty years ago. many of those originals died, and know only about 7 are still alive, they are called the elders. the current population of Wilberton is about 100, and they are living a good one. The elders continue the myth of the creatures in the woods, and have a male pit fiend prowl the woods, under control by the wearer of the tuned ring wich is linked to a collar around the Pitfiends neck, he is used only to scare and kills humans seldomly, but acasionaly kills livestock to scare the villagers. they also send him in to town when someone decides to be brave and ask permision to go through the woods and get out and see the world. This drill is called the claiming, and if the fiend marks a door with his symbol (a red X) the house is to be burned down, and that site is never to be built apon again. The drill is triggered when the fiend passes one of the watch towers, that protect Wilberton's borders. These precations are all taken to protect the people from the wall potrolling Devils, who walk the forest walls. There is a portal in the woods, that the orignal 20 thought was a shrine, and it will be linked to another place in the planes.

so, what do you all think, I will post a map later, after i get reasults.
oh, and please, feel free to say what you think of my idea.I can take any kind of critisisum.

I sounds like a great idea, probably best as a demiplane or Outlands site. If its a demiplane, you don't need an adamantine wall, the world just ends. Although this may mix The Village and The Truman Show too much.
If Geoffery was a mage, maybe he made this demiplane to escape a fiendish invasion of his homeworld and brought people through to rescue them. The portal back home is on the outskirts of the plane, and the monsters-in-the-woods myth deters people from snooping around and finding their way back to the terror.
I think, though, that this is a good idea with a lot of philosophical planescape application.

thanx, that is actually a good idea, it works out well, the idea is it is a spindle, and it just sets there, and the demi- plane is a good plan. thanx

Its a good idea, reminds me of the Strong hold, Hell gate keep in Fearun, you could say that Wilber fled from there into the portals, it was, after all taken by demons. oh, vote for me!

I could actually see something like this working more in 'Ravenloft' than 'Planescape'.

Most demi-planes are located in the Ethereal Plane.

And there are some that reside on the Prime... depending upon how you look at these things.

For example, I've always thought the shifting nature of the Forest of Wayreth on Krynn has a demi-plane feel to it -- a zone of space inside the static Material Plane where the usual laws of reality do not apply.

True, but say i was to jam it on a prime, what would be the best, and if i didn't want it on a prime, what other planes might harbor it?

Am I really the only one who's confused every time he reads this thread? I keep thinking the name of the plane is Wimbledon, as in the Elemental Plane of Tennis.

Wimbledon, the White Realm of Tennis
It is a sporting championship place.
It is surrounded by cheering spectators.
It is not associated with the film of the same name.

Planar Traits
Strongly Tennis-Aligned: Ping-pong players suffer a -2 penalty to all checks while in Wimbledon.
Subjective Borders: The white lines that mark the edges of Wimbledon are subject to the disputes of the inhabitants. Boundaries shift as players debate whether or not the "ball was on the line."
