WIKI!... WIKI?

Hey all,

I'm a long time planescape fanatic (I've mostly lurked the internet, and have contributed a number of articles and stuff here and there under different names)... Recently, I haven't had time to play at all and I wonder if I ever will, but anyway...

I was wondering if there was any interest in a planescape wiki? I ask because I could host it on my server if needed and also because I think it could help in better organizing the wealth of information that everyone has been so good as to create. Not to mention how useful it would be for the projects you've got going... The very wiki could be the workspace for a given project /and/ the end result for the book...

Anyway, is there any call for a planescape wiki, either general or specific? Let me know...

Well, the Encyclopedia of Planewalker is basically a Wiki, and the few people that have passed through here and attempted to make a more traditional wiki page have not managed to gain much of a following.

Personally, I suggest rooting here and adding your elbow grease to this already far-progressed site.

The Encyclopedia is not editable and is restricted to canon material. I don't think that qualifies as a wiki. Very useful, but not a wiki. But hey, if no one wants it, I won't bother.

It certainly is editable if you join the editors. But you're right that it's restricted to canon.

It should be editable even if you *aren't* an editor (the editors just get notified about new entries so that they can fill in the blanks). Just having a planewalker account is enough to let you get in there an make new entries and edit other ones.

Me too, I'm not an editor and I've edited. You only need to be logged in, and if you're posting on the forums you already have an account.

Now a Wiki for fan contributions... there's one of those for Exalted, I haven't looked at it much but the format can certainly be duplicated.
