I don't understand "beyond the scope of that which is around us and contains us". The paragraph seems complicated. Explain what it means please.

It means no one person - even a god - is more important than or better than everything else. Each is part of the community of the multiverse, and bound by certain duties and obligations.

It means that those concerned with Good need to be equally concerned with Law.
