Is Planewalker planning on updating the various psionic races to comply with the Expanded Psionics Handbook?
updating PS3e to XPH?
Presently I'm not sure. Everything we wrote was in 3e stats, rather than 3.5 and I'm not familiar enough with 3.5's changes versus 3e to say much about it. I run my own game in 3e, and don't own the 3.5 core books, nor am I likely to buy them unless my old copies literally fall apart.
On the same note, my XPH won't ship from Amazon till sometime this month along with my copy of PlHB and Serpent Kingdoms. I went cheap and had them all shipped together once released.
Very little changed. In fact, if you have the 3.5 core books, you'll notice few differences. Most of the biggest changes appear to be the character classes that were overhauled, a few spells, name changes on some things, and skills that were folded into others.
Actually, 3.5 psionic are substantially different from 3.0, to the point that when it was released, there was a rather large fuss from the psionics community over on the WotC boards over the lack of backward-compatability.
In that regard, yes, they did need to revamp the system. I thought that the 3.0 version was still broken in many ways. I'm glad they rewrote the system.
Eventually all the releases will be changed to 3.5. This will barely be noticable for 95% of the product, and the rest DM's shouldn't have trouble with. As for psionics, we will be using the new system exclusively. Once the next version of chapter 2 goes up you'll see these changes.

Cool!
Don't forget to update/remove the Guvner feat "Structured Mind". At the moment, it gives you a bonus to saving throws vs. psionic combat, which was removed in psionics 3.5.
This means I have to actually learn the 3->3.5e changes now since I'm still running in 3e. Heh.
Ummm...
Bump?
