Timestream troubles

This kind of a, unique, situation.

My character ( uhhhh, bob) is a timestrider. The thing is, considering that he bears an incredible amount of resemblence to the Dread Pirate Swan ( who made an apperacne in a previous campaign) we have decided to make 'bob' be the younger incarnation of the Dread Pirate, wtih the intention of ending bob's part in this campaign by having him screw up a spell and get sent back in time. Or having the campaign we had before take place at a later date. Or something.

Either way, we have hit a wall after already modifing the character in this way. By saying that 'bob' is the young dread pirate, untill 'bob' reaches a certain age and goes off and does what he did in the previous campain, he can't die, right?

I mean, he can almost die, but some miraculas coincidence has to be there to save him, or the time stream becomes messed up.
Or if he does die, he is gaurenteed to be ressurected at a later date.
But he has to either stay alive ( or can't stay dead) untill such time in his life that he has completed what he did before/ will do. Right?

Altered clone spell caused by a wild surge that festered in Limbo. SO it's not the real DPS, but a mis-matched clone.

A suggestion: Never play with time. I truly believe the paradoxes caused by the flux will NEVER allow time travel, no matter how many flux capacitors you have as you fly backwards around the sun or spin the earth backward.

time is to messed up to mess around with in my opinion, I mean it's one thing to slow or speed up time, but completely going into different timestreams could lead to dangerous results, in my opinion

Also known as the "Summers Switch".

Bob can die as many times as he needs to, as long as he's always resurrected afterwards. Remember, Planescape uses the D&D rules, and in D&D, death is nothing more than a 5000 gp traffic ticket.

To make it more dramatic, next time good ol' Bob dies, refuse to allow him to be resurrected. Have him dust himself off, curse the party, and abandon them.

Another Dread Pirate Swan is born.

Have them meet a couple of other Bob/Swan analogs as NPCs. Maybe they're adolescents, or even children. Some of them are hard-working professionals. Maybe some are members of other adventuring parties. What they all have in common is, they're only one or two deaths aways from becoming the scourge of the Planes.
