This is a tough call but I might have to sell them all...

I have the complete Planescape set of all 30 titles mass published by TSR for the Planescape Setting. I am looking for the DM screen (from the Starter boxed set) but if I don't find that. It would be the only poster, screen, booklet, or anything missing from the entire Set.

This includes the 5 big boxed Sets (Campaign Setting, Hellbound: Bloodwar, Planes of Conflict, Planes of Chaos, and Planes of Law)

The small boxed set Player's Primer to the Outlands with CD

On hallowed group (gods, proxies, worship and etc.)

The two Sigil guides (city and character book)

All of the adventures (Dead Gods, Great Modron March, Faction War, and all of the small non deluxe Adventures)

The Planewalkers Handbook

The Guides to the Atral, Ethreal, and Inner Planes

And all of the rest I didn't list. 30 in all.

Now I MIGHT want to sell them. The thing is I am looking to buy a duplex this Spring and its possible I could use the extra cash to take care of a few things. I really don't want to sell them and if I do I will likely have to rebuy the whole collection slowly like I did the first time.

But if the difference is between getting my morgage or lower my payments enough on it these may have to go.

So basically if you were to buy this entire collection (or maybe just a large part of it) what would you offer?

I really wouldn't know how much the whole collection is worth, but I know that Hellbound alone fetches something like $150, used. I suspect that most people on this forum probably already own at least some PS books, so they may not want to buy a whole set.

Are you willing to sell individual books or only the whole set?

The only title I'm missing is Hellbound....

I would love to buy it from you but take my advice, don't sell, you will hate yourself for it later...

Yeah I know and I may have to rebuild the collection if I do it. But if its a difference between getting the down payment for the mortgage and not getting a house. Its something I need to do. Its possible I might breakdown the set somewhat but I can't cut much of a deal if I am letting people cherry pick things like Hellbound and such.

Instead of seeing it as cherry-picking, why not sell the rarest and most valuable and save the rest of your collection? You will have less to replace later and still earn some extra cash.

I had to rebuild my entire set after college, and it was surprising to me that even lesser modules like "Something Wild" were going for more than double their original retail price. Perhaps that has changed as 3.5e has become more widely accepted and Eberron seams to be the new "cool" setting, though I would check ebay and the amazon marketplace just to make sure.

Best of luck with the house.

That's true but I will have to see. Thanks for the good wishs.

If I had the money... I would so buy the core.

I'm going to a gaming convention next weekend but I've never seen Planescape stuff there before.

If you are looking to price your collection, Troll and Toad has a pretty good list of items here:

Obviously if your stuff is not still in shrink-wrap, you will have to settle for a bit less than the mint price. I still think I would sell something else, like my computer rather than my Planescape books.
