Seems like he's bound to excape from his hidden demiplane/jail cell sooner or later (at least, Mordenkainen thinks so...). Boy will all hell break loose then! Does he know about Shar from the Forgotten Realms? - She seems to have a similar philosophical outlook, maybe they can get together and scheme! After all, Tharizdun's giong to need some help if he wants to wipe out all of existence... maybe he can ressurect the Anti-Monitor (obigitory comic-book reference, ha ha)...

There isn't much hope for the 52 universes in the DC multiverse. Here's some of his allies... Which is the Sinestro Corps, the anti-Green Latern Corps. 
Tharizdun got released in those non-canon Greyhawk novels already.
Besides who says he hasn't been released yet?
