Do they have another name in English? Does ''Tacharim'' mean anything?

Yeah, I thought maybe there's a bit more to them than being a front, or that they grew from it – my impression after reading their description in 3rd edition CS, among other sects and ex-factions. The name seemed Hebrew, for an upper piece of body armor.
Not as far as I know. I think of them as a front that Factol Pentar created in order to attack the Modron March without the Doomguard obviously being involved.
