I know that rip has posted about Tony DiTerlizzi's art in the Spiderwick Chronicles, and specifically one bestiary therein, but I just had to post my appreciation and recommendation for this matter. DiTerlizzi should definitely be more appreciated then he is. It would be fantastic if he were to create more art for Planescape or D&D in general.

Thoughts?

I get the impression (quite possibly entirely mistaken) that his style has become so synonymous with Planescape that it's fairly obsessive, small fan-base have managed to at least mildly creep him the hell out by now.

He drew a brand-new tridrone in Dragon Magazine a few months ago. It looks different from his old tridrones, but I thought it was the best illustration in the article.

That sounds pretty interesting. I really like modrons. I don't suppose there's a rule against posting the illustration?

Julie did an excellent job of mimicing TonyD's style. Smiling

Anwald -> Generally it's easier/nicer to link directly to the artist if you can, or at least include a link to their mane page when you link to their image - it gives them extra publicity that can be much appreciated. Smiling

I think the term "gorgeous!" is the most apt. wow. Great stuff. Love it all.

That is a truly superb illustration.
