Can anyone give me any ideas where I can find out more about the Sect Plague and whether it's something that's been resolved yet?
Sect Plague
Not entirely sure where I've read it in but I've come across it from multiple sources.
A Plague targetting Harmonium and Indep is one version I've heard.
I've never seen anything about it affecting the Harmonium, but there was a plague that struck the Free League a long time ago. This plague reduced the ranks of the largest 'faction' by quite a bit; it's implied that this may have been sent by the Lady of Pain with the intent of preventing them from gaining too much power.
Myself, I would suspect 'loth involvement. It would be the kind of nasty thing they'd do, and the oinoloth has the means to effect any Indep on Oinos who could in turn carry it back to Sigil.
I'll look up the official source when I get home, but I'd guess its in either the PSCS boxed set, Factol's Manifesto or In the Cage.
The "Indep Plague" information is located in the Factol's Manifesto, in the Indep section where they interview the Fated Giant, Gunnarsmoon. Sections of it are also found in the DM's Dark, I believe.
I can't recall anything about a Hardhead plague, though.
Must have been a spin on it in another source I was looking at.
Cheers for the heads up. I'll get Factols and take a squint at it.
I will also look at that and if anyone else recalls any other sources let me know. I have the complete set of Planescape 2nd edition stuff so I am more than happy to look things like this up for people assuming I have time.
There was a mysterious illness that afflicted the bariaur and other Indeps in the adventure Something Wild. I don't want to say much more about it since the plot revolves around it.
FWIW, there was a series of articles in S.I.G.I.S about the "plague" that struck the signers... Although, I can't remember whether the Harmonium thought it was a plague or a mass murdererer on the loose...
BTW, are old issues of SI.G.I.S. archived on PW.com? If not, they should be...
Yes: /sigis/archive/sigis/sigis0.html
I don't know if there's a link to them in the index, though.
Can "thinking" victims out of existence be considered murder?
Can "thinking" victims out of existence be considered murder?
They've allegedly done it before. One of the factol's, but I don't remember for which faction. I think it was talked about in the Factol's Manifesto.
Pants of the North!
Yes. Factol Nobey of the Bleak Cabal. This happened during the reign of Factol Gaelan, who I assume was also the factol responsible for the Signers' dark bargain with Bel.
What is the Sect Plauge and where did you run accross it?
