Hmm, the Ring-Givers were, invented either here or at Mimir, weren't they? I don't think they show up in any of the 2e canon.
Nope, they're canon. On further delving, I've uncovered reference to Jeremo the Natterer and the Ring-Givers in In The Cage: A Guide To Sigil.
It's altogether possible they might feature in the Planes of Chaos box set, (being Ysgard based and pre FW) but I've not got that, so I don't know.
the ring-gives are indeed featured in Planes of Chaos, in Ysgaard.
And if you´re a DM the ring-givers are a great sect to give your players gifts they actually don´t want. Like a super weapon that does immense amounts of damage but belonged to an Abyssal Lord who wants it back very bad. Before you know it your one item gift ends up in a full fledged campaign...
