Replacing the Cant

Okay, so Modern Planescape obviously wouldn't use the cant, but using modern day slang would ruin the charm. I recommend prohibition-era slang as a replacement, but your thoughts?

Maybe they would use the cant. Maybe it would only be different in that some outdated terms were dropped and some modern terms were invented.

Also, maybe we'd have some "old" cant and some cool prohibition-era cant.
