Regarding Hooks

I love the work that you guys are doing for Planewalker, so in a way I feel like this post is a whine.

It's just that most of my hooks are contributed to "Anonymous" in stead of the proper author (quite often myself), because they were copied from the old website in stead of submitted to this one.

If you like, I can provide you with the names of the proper authors (and in some cases, their contact info).

Besides that, it's great to see stuff being added to Planewalker once more. I'll submit a bunch more as soon as I have time. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, IIRC there was a technical issue with porting over the authors from the old site.

That would be great. You can contact Clueless via PM, or just post the info here.

Actually the most technical part of the problem is that not many of the old authors have stepped forward to tell us what their Planewalker account actually is nowadays.

All of the information you see in an entry is generated out of a database. If we don't have an account to connect the entry to then it'd going to default to 'Anon'. All the contact info in the world won't fix it without having an account to tie it to - hence why we tried to put author credits in the text itself since we didn't have the accounts when we first converted the info.

(Though if you have contact info for folks who haven't stepped up yet, btu who could be poked into writing for us again - please let us know.)

From what you've said - you have some entries you did that are currently listed as Anon.? Which ones since I don't think I know what your credit name would be for them?

Edit: I just checked your profile, checked your name/email addy and went through Hooks - I *think* I'v associated all your entries to yourself now. Let me know if I picked up the wrong ones or missed any.

Yes, you got all of mine. Thanks for the quick response. Smiling

Ok, I figured it might be something like that. It's not too bad...after all, the names are still there, even if you have to open the hook to see it.

We'd still love to be able to associate the entries with an account. If only because it means the previous writer for us actually knows we're back and might be able to send us more stuff. Eye-wink

Well, I can't speak for Ashy or Heiner (in fact, I think they are very busy these days), but rest assured that Planewalker will always have my material. And I will be writing more, as soon as I have some free time.

I always write more material when I actually am playing, which only happens when I have free time these days (what with graduate school and all).
