Pre-FW Planescape 3.5 Factions

Hello everyone, I was just really want to run Pre-FW Planescape 3.5. The reason being that I have loads of the Planescape books but nothing to run them on. Has anyone converted the Pre-FW Factions across to 3.5? My local gamers are used to 3.5 and the sheer amount of races available makes me smile. I just believe with the Factions gone it cuts a massive chunk out of the Sigil I imagined.

P.S. How are the factions implemented? Presige Classes? Feats? Thanks.

Prestigue Classes and Feats both. We're working on getting those into the PSCS for download, but in the meantime check out:

There are a few other sites under the Links section of the page that may be handy as well. Smiling

Now one last thing to mention Smiling - the factions aren't *gone*. The Lady told them to "Get out" she didn't tell them to all go jump off a bridge. Go to Arcadia sometime and see how many Hardheads are around. Go to Mechanus, and see if you can throw a stone without hitting a Guvner. Go to the Outlands and smile merrily at the Free Leagues. Or the Negative touched Quasielemental planes, say hi to the Doomguard and Dusties. The factions are *definately* still out there - openly in the planes they just aren't *openly* in Sigil... that doesn't mean they don't pay the bills for many guilds or individuals in the Cage though. Consider it just another layer of the kriegstanz.

Some of it depends on how dedicated you want to make a characters. In the game I'm currently running, a Cipher PC has chosen to only take feats associated with the Transcendent Order because she's also dedicated to her god (as a Cleric).

She doesn't want to give herself over to being a Cipher enough to take a prestige class (and give up her cleric progression) but she still wants to follow the philosophies of the Transcendent Order, so feats allow her to do both at the same time. However, it also limits her access to the organization, as she isn't as "in depth" as other characters who more fully embrace their faction (like the party's Sensate) and take an associated PrC.
