I started mucking around with some potential masthead/cover work. The illustration on the cover is A PLACEHOLDER that I shoved on there just to see how it would look with one in place. The text is also really bad, so uh, placeholder status on that too.
Also, I discovered that it's possible to export PDFs from Photoshop, so if we're still having layout issues, I could definitely BS something together. I doubt Photoshop is all that suited to the task but, well, it's a program I know.
PS please ignore that I appear to have typo'd "planewalker". Derp.
I have to admit, while I think quarterly is internally the best goal, I'm wary of attempting to fulfill a guarantee regarding our publishing schedule.
