Basically, I first go to the standard set of smilies found on the Wizards board. Then I go to Microsoft Paint, to change colors and such. In the case of the LoP smilies, I found a good picture of Her Serenity, then drew several of the blades pixel by pixel and rotated them.
Actually - if you'd like to set up a bunch of these, we would *love* to have some custom smilies for use
