Just an idea. Oceanus and styx are a thing of the past. In modern age, people build roads and highways. Unfortunately, roads don't always stay where they're built onthe planes, so it's best to pick up an experienced hitch-hiker, if you find one you think you could trust :E

Also, border towns could be connected by a monorail. Wee Laughing out loud

For person travel, the Great Rivers are definately no longer as popular - but for shipping, still one of the most effecient and quickest ways to travel. (Even now, shipping by boat is the preferred method.)

Re: monorail - that actually sounds pretty cool. I can picture a whole line of baatazu commuter workers sitting in a row all doing suduko puzzles. Eye-wink

Would air travel be acceptable?

This got me thinking on what the Rivers could evolve into; I'm getting an image of the Styx as a long, convoluted highway which induces an extremely powerful version of highway hypnosis in the unprepared or unwary.

And then you'd then have the marraenoloth cabbies...

Speaking of highways, does anyone have an idea what the Outlands will be like?

I had an idea involving the Outlands being kind of like the American midwest - fields and highways stretching into space-bending infinity. I never really worked out a good implementation for it, though.

Why would they edit it out? That sort of stuff is just what they need to get into the mood for the day at the office as a member of the Middle Management of Evil.
