Outsider Drawings: Celestials

Hey there everyone. It's been a while since I last posted something, but I decided to show you all I'm still drawing, albeit with less time nowadays. But I'm continuing with the drawings of outsiders, and I am having a go at celestials!

Trumpet Archon and Sword Archon

Hope you like. Comments welcome! I'm hoping to keep going with these, if there are any ideas of what celestials should be next tell me!

Neat!

I though find the Sword Archon's visible thigh a little too thin slash too un-muscular compared to the build of the rest of the body ... but I don't know ...

YAY! Can I get you to send me a higher res version at clueless(at)planewalker.com ? Also - are you ok with someone else coloring it - namely me - with the assumption being that if you don't like the coloring I do you can say 'no, leave it BnW'.

What resolution do you want it at? And as for colouring, I don't mind- I hardly ever colour my stuff because I'm still learning the tricks with photoshop, plus whenever I scan something in that's coloured (with pencils or whatever) it never looks as good. Let me know, I can't wait to see what you do!

300 dpi is usually about where I'm looking for. As large as is reasonable to go through your email. I'm looking forward to getting started on it Smiling

Holy Amazing...

You are seriously talented!! I have this sick obsession with Angels, and you have just made my day. I'd like to see all sorts of angels and angel like drawings from you...

Like maybe...I don't know...a Seraphim or something...like six-wings or something...I don't know...I can't even begin to try to put a limit on your art...I just want to see more.

What other drawings have you done?

Here's an interesting Idea...what about a half-angel/half-baatezu?

I like how you give the feeling of movement rather than just a static pose.

The first angel feels really strong (willpower) the second I'm not too sure on. His waist seems too short which imo only puts my focus to the short legs.

I do really like the art though, great to see Angels in poses other than the common ones. =)

To be honest, I don't think the waist and legs are a problem. Looking at it, I can see how people would think they would be a bit awkward. But really, look at it. If the legs were straightened, they would be proportional. I think that the wings create an illusion because they are so massive in comparison. All in all, I say the picture is right perfect. Thanks for all the comments, great feedback!

@Bujio: Expect more angels soon! Also, you're idea is quite interesting, half-angel/half-baatezu eh? Hmmmm.....

@Clueless: I'll send it to you this afternoon, after I finish work.

Bujio, in this case I believe you're focusing on the man's left elbow in relation to his hip. I was focusing more on his right elbow which [imo] makes the waist look shorter but tones down the legs.

Either way! The images speak much about the feelings the two angels are conveying. =)

Tiefling, I'd love to see more angels from you. Maybe a Hound Archon. Might I ask, what's your favorite thing to draw? ^^

And I can't believe I didn't say it before. I love how you draw feathers. I've always found them to be difficult!
