Greetings! Salutations! My evil, evil players of my current Online PS game are making me do this. We got the idea of playing a forum
joke game of a party made up entirely of rogue modrons....some
more rogue than others. BUT- we need a DM. [Read: A guy that sets things up for us just so we can ignore it and/or knock it down and act barmy.] Any takers?

I'll be playing a rogue modron monk.(despite the fact that they have a wisdom penalty)

Hrm, I'd like to play in this... I have some neat Rogue Modron ideas... but I could also DM. In fact, who is more qualified than the ruler of the modron race?

Alright... I have nominated myself DM of this little venture, so let's get this baby rolling.

"Planescape: Rogue Squadron"

Let's keep this to 6 or fewer players.
Do you want it to be freeform, 3e, or 3.5?
If using a rules system what levels? Low (Level 3), Mid (Level 7), High (Level 12)?

So far the participants in this are
DM:Primus
Players:Nordom,Me,Clueless, and factol Rhys who has yet to post but has expressed interest.

I would assume we'll be using the 3.5 rules although if the other players want a mix of 3.0 and 3.5 or just 3.0 then I'm ok with that. And so far the starting level has been at 3 but I'll go with whatever level the group wants.

Um... can I join? It sounds amazing, and I've been sitting on a rogue modron idea for about a year now that I never had a chance to play....

Box-in-Bloom (rogue modron druid) -- "It’s usually pretty hard to tell one quadrone from any other. Let’s face it, they all pretty much look alike. A metallic cube three feet to each side, with two mechanical arms, two mechanical legs, occasionally a pair of wings, and a face only Primus could love. But Box-in-Bloom’s pretty easy to distinguish from other quadrones on account of her verdant "toupee"; a three-by-three sod of lush green grass that flourishes on her head. Not just grass either, but herbs and flowers and occasionally even a patch of blueberries. The sod isn't just sitting there, it's well-rooted, and shoots and vines can be seen protruding from various openings in her body and limbs. Box-in-Bloom's mental capacity is mostly unimpaired... mostly... by the overgrowth, and she does make good use of the herbs and flowers for potions and poultices."

Let me know if I'm in. Thanks,

I rolled on the PW forums dice roller and got:

14, 12, 17, 16, 15, 17

Best I've EVER rolled, but since I can't prove it, I'd feel funny about using 'em.

I'm cool with 32-point buy.

I know I can't prove it, but I swear that's what I rolled.

Drain Magic (Su): Spire butterflies feed on magic; drawing sustenance from magic items and spell effects. Small swarms of 50 or fewer butterflies consume magic at a rate of up to one spell level per hour, though much less than this is actually required for survival. Excess magic is burned off as butterfly wings crackle, glow, screech, and shine with the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and sensations of various spells. Full swarms, numbering in the hundreds or thousands, drain magic much more quickly and have been known to discharge stored magical energy in self-defence.
Lesser Swarm Traits: As swarm, excluding Distraction.

I'm using the "modron outcast" from Planewalker's new Planescape Campaign Setting, Chapter 2: Races. In that version, modron outcasts receive a +4 natural armor bonus to their Armor Class due to their partially metallic nature.

Druid's animal companion - opinions wanted.

Choice #1 - wolf (perfectly acceptable animal companion, but maybe not in Sigil?)

Choice #2 - Aoskian Hound (not technically an animal companion, but an affordable, trainable beast with a definite Planescape flavour)

Choice #3 - any ideas? any planar animals that'd be weird enough to be a modron's animal companion?

thanx

A Monodrone? Just kidding. It could be a formian worker, maybe. Strictly speaking it's not an animal, but we're talking about Modrons here. And I don't think a rogue unit would hold against the formians the same amount of animosity that the heirarchy units do.

Well, Kilojoule has a gear spirit familiar, though I really just took lizard stats and modified it, so no normal gear spirit abilities.

He also has a little instrument on his left side that has a needle that shows how many spells he has left per day. Just because it'd be hilarious. Maybe he'll have another instrument that just shows his spell power, so when he casts a spell it'll jump up, and then go back down. Y'know, since he's crazy like that.

I've got it! Spire Butterflies! And thanks to the San Diego Zoo's website, I now know that a group of butterflies is called a "flutter".

So I propose that Box-in-Bloom's grassy toupee is home to a flutter of Spire Butterflies. Imagine a modron overgrown with grass, moss and vines, enveloped in a cloud of colorful butterflies!

"She" can feed them spells when they can't get their fill elsewhere.

So, Primus, can I, can I?

Alright, those of you who haven't gotten there sheets in yet should know that I won't move the plot on for several days. Once teleported into the room (don't post that part yourselves as I have some plans) you may interact and roleplay to your heart's content. After I get all of the sheets, or I become tired of waiting the plot will be advanced.

Sidrem is a peculiar looking thing (like all modron aren't?) . But in particular he is painted matte black and has many little spikes coming off the edges of his form. He moves with a suppressed whir, far quieter than most modron, but has a bad habit of verbalizing his actions by saying "Sneak. Sneak. Sneak." He's working on this. The black finish is marred along the top by a gouge that looks like something scored his paintjob. In some places it is clear that wires are poking out and on close inspection they look suspiciously like lock picks, or just loose wires.
