New guy here trying to find his bearings...

First post. Hi.

I looked through this site and the Planescape thread on gleemax, but I haven't found any Faces of Sigil NPC conversions to 3.0/3.5 on either. Are there any, and if so, where?

Another probably stupid question. The downloadable map of Sigil (which is superb, BTW. My undying thanks to the maker/s) has numbered locations. Where can I find the map key?

Ach. I probably should have posted this on the discussion forum. sry.

Welcome to Planewalker! Smiling

Here's the section on notorious Sigil personalities, including many of those from Faces of Sigil. Not sure about the map key, sorry.

Got the answer to your second question as well. The map key is tied to the Sigil Venues download, which you can find here.

Thanks a bunch, Dunamin!

I knew there was a good reason I voted for planewalker.com in the ennies.

This site rocks!

I'm looking forward at running my first Planescape campaign sometime in the future. I'll probably get back to you guys if/when some questions or needs for opinions arise.

Later,

M

No probs!

If you're looking for specific bits of Planescape lore for your campaign, remember there's an expansive encyclopedia on planes, layers, gods, NPCs, races, and more. Though also feel free to ask away on the forums, of course.

First Planescape game you've run? Or just getting back into the saddle?

Thanks for the welcome!

Me and my group are all Planescape virgins.

I'm thinking of running The Modron March (Pre-faction war) with Out of the Darkness from Dead Gods as the finale (I might go with the Faction War after that). I'll stick Eternal Boundary and Harbringer House somewhere between the chapters. I also intend to use Sigil in a kind of 'sandbox' mode, so that the players could feel that they have some control over the plot.

To simplify things a bit, the PCs start factionless. After the first chapter of The Modron March I'll tell the players to choose one faction in which they will all belong to. I'm kind of hoping that they'll choose either the Fated or the Sensates, but a few other factions are acceptable as well.

You may want to look at using the Desire and the Dead module we have here too - especially if it's a first time for all of you. The overall goal of that one is to get you introduced to Sigil and the factions (including the Sensates). It also gives the players a headquarters to grow from in future games. Smiling

I kind of wanted to play in Desire and the Dead forum game, and wouldn't wan't to spoil myself. Although if our current campaign lasts long (I'm not the DM now), or if I'm not accepted into that game, I'll consider using that.

DatD could well fit into my schemes, if put it immediately after the first chapter of The Modron March.
