New Articles rather than New Posts

I'm not sure exactly when this change took place, but when I used to log in to this site, I would see a box containing the most recent 10 or so posts. Using this, I could easily see if there's been any action in specific threads that I follow, or new threads that may picque my interest.

Now that box has been replaced by a "New Articles" box, which is considerably less useful, as it hasn't seemed to change at all in the last month or so. I find myself having to scan every subforum individually - first to see if a new post has been made, and if so, opening that forum and re-scanning to see which thread(s) have new posts.

Sorry if this sounds like much ado over nothing, but I really liked the utility of the old setup. I tooled around a bit in my settings to see if it's something I can alter on my end, but came up empty.

I agree with VikingLegion. I don't mind "New Articles" being there, but I would like to see "Recent Posts" too.

It's there in the bottom left, if you log in on the front page. "Recent Posts," "New Wiki," and "Go Exploring."

I'm referring to the forum page, not the front page. There used to be a "Recent Posts" section there.

Re: New Articles rather than New Posts

The new articles is there as in the next quarter of this year we're going to be recharging articles on site and cleaning up a lot of the old submission systems to get new stuff in, so we can start high lighting articles again.

In the meantime though - have you guys spotted these pages?
