Anyone have any good suggestions for music of the Planes or different areas of Sigil? I'm looking to make a bad-ass playlist

If I Fall From Grace With God
That's it! Thank you Rip.
I have a fondness for Orbital for a lot of my Planescape writing, especially The Box CD.
El-Horto has some very interesting song-textures with some wide applicability on the planes.
Diamanda Galas has some great creepy and weird music for pandemonium or even the lower planes.
-Ophelia
I think dungeons and Dragons put out an original sound track for adventuring and battles, but I can't remember what it was called. I found it on an Amazon search not to long ago.
-Ophelia
Diamanda is definitely creepy and atmospheric, but not as loud and crazy as I hear Pandemonium, which is known for its deafening, howling, cacophonous winds. Something like Nurse With Wound would be more appropriate, perhaps.

Well you don't want anything too loud. After all people have to be able to hear one another. Something in our group that is hard enough as it is.
Aye, I listen to music to write up plots - but it can be hard at a game if you're in a room that echos, or have hard of hearing players.
You wouldn't play it loud the whole time, just long enough to get the jist.
Or you could just turn it up really loud whenever the players try to talk to each other.
Pants of the North!
to create a creepy atmosphere, I play "If You're Into It, I'm Out of It" from Christoph de Babalon or some aphex twin (like melodies from mars) or bioshere.
Two suggestions-
Aphex Twin- Selected Ambient Works Vol II-- A lot of creepy atmosphere; a classic in my planescape campagins.
Planescape Torment Soundtrack- You can get a file converter online to change all of these to .wav files, or if you send me a PM I can send them over through AIM or e-mail.
during battles I like hard rock or really fast orchestral (beethoven, bach, metallica)but during role playing the best is music that can really move the player(again bach and bethoven)or even somber music for those final moments of a characters life played softly and mixed in with something upbeat for victories
the Planescape torment soudn track is out there somewhere on the web. Also try Warhammer, Warcraft, Overclocked Remix, any any of your favorite shows.
There's alot out there.
/me goes an downloads Planescape: Torment soundtrack...
Like everybody said, the PS:T soundtrack is pretty sweet. Even if you don't use it as background music in your tabletop games, it's really nice to listen to if, like me, you don't have time to play through that game over and over again, but would like a way to remember all the good times you had.
The various character themes, as well as the location themes are excellent (Dak'kon, Baator, Fortress of Regrets are all amazing). Some of it never made it into the game, actually.
It's also what I like to listen to when I'm posting on forum games. Especially as a DM.
Other Good Music:
Balders Gate
Arcanum (availbable on the games web page)
Nightwish
Sharn soundtrack fits very nicely into sigil
As for other planes, fight club soundtrack is great for mechanus, squarepusher is nice for limbo, karlheinz stockhausen fits pandemonium, Pogues would be good for arborea, day of the tentacle music is nice for elysium... Out of ideas. I just have playlists named nice, dark, evil, fight! and other and I use whatever seems appropriate
Thank you all so much! I posted this and kind of dissapeared for a while. Once I get a solid Internet connection (mine likes to turn on and off every few mins) I'll being checking all of that out
I love the Torment soundtrack and I'm getting Aphex twin as we speak...Video Games are good at being atmospheric ;D

Re: That on and off net connection - you may want to scan yourself for viruses - that sort of thing is often caused by those. If you come up clean in safe mode, then the next thing you want to do is call your ISP and tell them about it - they don't have any way of knowing it's screwing up till you call.
we've got a wireless currently, and we've called the network guy, and who knows when he'll be by *shrug*
i should to a virus scan though...i think i don't even have a firewall currently
the torment soundtrack is really good and baulder's is not that bad though for some reason the steven lynch DND song is a must have at a meet or while working on DND now
Thank you guys for all your suggestions I've begun collecting and I believe my playlist will be quite bad ass, if not the baddest ass playlist of them all
If anyone else has any other suggestions, let me know, and maybe I'll compile a big old list as a PW entry
The one band that I like to play when there is a generic bard(s) playing are the Pogues, especially the album (can't think of it right now) that has "A Fairytale of New York" on it.
