Multi Stage Devourer

Today's 4th edition art preview shows three very different looking devourers. Are these three different types of devourer or three different stages in a devourers "life cycle"?

I'm pretty sure the one in the front is the Morhg. An undead creature I never felt was that impressive compared to the Devourer. Now it seems like the Morhg is now Devourer Jr.

I'm not sure. That largest one is pretty creepy, with impaled spirits on its spine-connected bone-spikes. Shocked

That does look like a mohrg.

I don't think the "spirit of a raving murderer reforming in the Shadowfell" background is nearly as interesting as the "creature who died with its soul separated from its body in negative energy-tainted realms of the Astral or Ethereal Planes, endlessly seeking to fill the void left by its missing soul, the first of which being a powerful renegade githyanki who slew the previous Lich Queen" background from the recent Dragon ecology.

I do like the one with the impaled spirits. That is nicely creepy.
