Multi-quote woes

This has been bugging me for quite some time, so I thought I'd respectfully inquire if something could be done.

When I include more than one quote in my post, it all messes up pretty badly. I write my post in Word, copy or write out quotes in it, and when I'm done I copy to Planewalker and post.

I tried changing Input Settings but to no awail.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hm... ok, first I need to know what "messes up pretty badly" is defined as - is there an example you can point me at?

Second - is this a problem with nested quotes? Aka: [ quote]something [ quote]something else [ /quote]  [ /quote]

Or with cocurrent quotes?

[ quote]something [ /quote]

some stuff here

[ quote]something [ /quote]

Lastly - I would *STRONGLY* suggest using plain notepad or some other text editor than Word. Word adds html tags that when Copied and Pasted will show up in other programs - including browsers. I suppose because Windows thinks it knows what you want. Unfortunately this can result in very unpredictable results. Try it without touching Word and see if that helps.

WordPad works! Thanks a lot!

Now that it works I've just incidentally removed a good example of how it was messed up, though Tongue out. It was mostly text position - some of the text would go way outside where it was supposed to, such as crossing into the area where your avatar displays.

In the latest case the problem happened after I used concurrent/sequential quotes, though I'm pretty sure I've experienced the same problem with nested quotes.

Hopefully this has become a non-issue, however. Using Wordpad resolved it. Smile

I had a sneaky suspsion that it would. Smiling Word is all sorts of trouble when you copy and paste out of it into something else. Smiling
