Monte Cook's Numenera

The Kickstarter Page:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1433901524/numenera-a-new-roleplayin...

Well, asking for $20,000 Cook got over $100,000. CONGRATS!

The Numenera website is here:

This is an interesting idea, I've seen it elsewhere - the ruins of civilizations are so advanced that what's left is seen as magic.

For me, ideally there's something numinous, something *more* that does connect to higher realities and the metaphysical. At the same time regardless of whether this is the case I am curious to see what he comes up with!

Oh, hey, that looks cool! You're right that it's not the first time this idea has come up, but I'm excited to see how this game turns out.

Also excited to see how much freedom Kieran Yanner is going to get to do something weird with the art, because a lot of his stuff I've seen for D&D in the past has had that little hint of weird tugging at its edges.

I only read the comment about "the ruins of civilizations are so advanced that what's left is seen as magic"
All I can say is that if it doesn't have a Mok named Ookla; I'm not interested. (Actually, I probably will be interested but any excuse to throw out a Thundarr the Barbarian reference)

This sounds very interesting. Hope there will be a lot of useful stuff. Numenera and Paizo's Numeria both have high tech.

Would be incredible if it gets enough money for the bestiary and the manual of technology.
