Memorize Spell [Metamagic]
Some sorcerers have learned to take some spells as their wizardly cousins do, and memorize them out of a book.
Prerequisites: Arcane Preparation
Benefit: You may memorize spells from a spell book as a wizard, if they are not part of your spell list, preparing them just as you would spells using Arcane Preparation. Spells prepared in this manner use a slot 2 levels higher than normal. Spells that are known as part of your normal spell list (either bard or sorcerer) are unaffected by this feat.
I'm posting this here because I'd like to hear some feedback on if this feat is balanced in your opinions. Also if you don't think it is worded well or needs changes please post your ideas.
No I don't think it is very balanced, because you are taking away one of the two big advantages that Wizards have over Sorcerers. The other being of course the fact that they get higher level spells faster. Also storyline wise it seems to be sorcerers cast their magic in a 180 degree turn from wizards doing it out of blood and intinct rather than memozing spells in a tome...
Then again part of my bias might be more storyline then game power based...
