So... how would one go about resurrecting him?

I'm vaguely aware that he was killed by Orcus, but don't know the details.

Zapped by the last word, I think. I very much doubt he could be ressurected because of that.

Hmm. According to Wiki, Orcus eventually got zapped by the Last Word himself. But, he's back now. Kind of. Laughing out loud

More or less. The Last Word was slowly devouring Orcus from within, and it eventually destroyed him. Yet he managed to return.

If mooncalves are created from Maanzecorian's corpse (one of the many random suggestions in Dragon Magazine's "The Ecology of the Mooncalf") then collecting a large number of them and sacrificing them with appropriate ritual might galvanize Maanzecorian back to life.

May I be the first to point out that a better question would be: "Why would one go about resurrecting him?"

If it must be done, though, finding his godisle would be one of the steps. Gathering the lost bits of knowledge would also probably help (ready to dive into Ocanthus, berk?). Given his illithid nature, psionics would probably be better than magic. I also like the mooncalf idea.

I would guess that at least some mind flayers would be happy to see him around again. Cool

Could resurrect him, and then get him to overthrow Ilsensine so we won't have to put up with cranium rats anymore. Sticking out tongue

Somehow, I'd rather deal with a horde of intelligent rats than a bunch of quivvering winged tentacled masses of thing jiggling under the full moon.
