Layout - Possible Bottleneck

Been trying out Scribus for the Mac, running into some issues. Is there someone else that can handle layout?

Wish I could afford the Adobe program, sadly not an option.

Not necessarily saying I can't do it, just want to have a backup.

Re: Layout - Possible Bottleneck

Found updated tutorials. Obviously I won't be a master anytime soon, but wanted to make sure I could at least do some layout work.

Will touch base on this in a few days.

I have ACS 3 and some experience using Indesign for layouts. I'd be more than willing to help, but my work would probably be at an amateur level for some time since it's been a while. Gotta get experience somehow though, right? Laughing out loud

Thanks for this!!

We are going to finalize the articles on December 1st. We'll do an art check in, I have some public domain stuff gathered for pieces that didn't get artists, though we may decide to hold some pieces back depending on your own thoughts about page count.

I think after articles and art are finalized, we'll have a good sense of layout though we may need place holder images for some articles.

Finally, the ideal deadline in January 1st, though I think delays can be expected and accounted for.

thanks again,

Sci

I'm usually free on Saturdays and Mondays, so those would be the ideal days to work on this for me. Which means I can start working on it this weekend. How convenient! Is there a particular font or anything like that you'd like used?

Hey! Just to update, I've been mucking around with InDesign a little bit recently, though I am still hella amateur with it.

Mogget, let me know if you want some help/to talk about layout stuff/etc Smiling
