So, there's a bunch of neat material over at the Kriegstanz. Trouble is, it's 3.0. While I can convert it as necessary, I was wondering if somebody happens to have done all the work already: are there known to be 3.5 versions of the material extant?

There aren't any as far as I know, though I'd be *very* interested in seeing some.

Why convert it?

Why convert it? According to Wizards of the Coast, 3.0 and 3.5 material are allegedly compatible... unless of course I've been right all along, and "3.5" rounds up to "4.0"!!! (Besides, 3.0 wasn't broke, so why "fix" it??? Having Animals and Beasts be different made sense; a cat and a T-Rex really need separate categories, because some "animals" are a lot tougher than others! The other changes they made were just as arbitrary and pointless, too, like making Shapechanger a subtype... by the same logic, you could make Giant, Undead, and Outsider subtypes as well... aren't Giants just big Humanoids, etc???) End of rant...

They're mostly mechanically compatible, but 3.5 has some slightly different design concepts. And enough things changed that if something is based on, for example, the 3.0 monk, it should probably be altered for use in a 3.5 game.

That's WHY I don't like the new edition... you have to modify all the old stuff to fix (or visa versa, if you use 3.5 books and the 3.0 core books...) That said, I like the fact that they added planar material to the Dungeon Master Guide, and a few other things they did, so I'm not TOTALLY against it, just somewhat annoyed...

In general, I like a lot of the balance fixes they made for 3.5. The massive focus on combat and optimisation is a bit unneeded for us planar cutters, but with a good group WotC's poor design philosophy can be easily overcome.
