Kiaransalee's realm, first and after

Hi! Smiling

Can someone tell me please where was located Kiaransalee's realm
- Before she slayed orcus
- After Orcus return?

In the FR setting of the 3.5 it is written that she was hiding from Orcus in the Demonweb pits, but FR cosomology of the 3rd ed is all wrong. :
I read somewere that she was hiding on the Prime. Is it true?

Before she probably lived in the Demonweb.

After she lives in the fortress of Kandelspire on the Prime world of Guldor, according to Fiendish Codex I.

Kiralansalle's home

Does that business about here moving to Guildor apply to her Oerth version, or is it a Torilian affair? (I'm assuming that just as there are two Lolths - the normal (Oerth) version and the Toril version - that there are two Kiralansalles as well (i.e. whatever happens to Lolth in Toril has no effect on Lolth in Oerth, and visa-versa)... Since Faerun now has a separate cosmology from Greyhawk, it has its own separate set of gods such as Gruumush, Garl Glittergold, etc... which are almost identical to their Oeridian counterparts, but still NOT the exact same individuals... and yes I know that contradicts the standard Planescape assumption that there is only one of each! (In Planescape, if you killed Lolth's true form on her home plane, she'd be dead in ALL the worlds...)

Yes, I know that in the new FR manuals they say so...
but it is such a stupid thing that even them are not completely OK with that. Some of their writer still refer to the old (and better) Planescape cosmology (like they did in Sacrifice of the Widow). So if they do it I can't see why we shouldn't.

FR new cosmology is weird and it is not well done.

Anyway, it is really common for gods' realms to exist in different planes. Elistraee lives on Ysgard, but she has a second realm on the demonwebs.

For Kiaransalee is probably the same. Smiling

Really? Is there any probability she lived in Threnody?

Guldor? Never heard of. But it seem a great idea. Has it ever been mentioned before?

Also, did she become a goddes before of after Araushnee fall?

No, she lived in the Abyss. Demihuman Deities says that after killing everyone on Threnody she fled to the Abyss to escape the wrath of the Seldarine (page 23). Lolth didn't fall into the Abyss until some time after Kiaransalee did, so she might have been anywhere before Lolth enslaved her. After Lolth became a power in the Abyss and forced Kiaransalee into unwilling servitude, she probably lived in Lolth's Demonweb. We don't know this for sure, though, so if you'd rather have her somewhere else in the Abyss feel free.

Not by that name, but it appeared in the original Queen of the Demonweb Pits module as the Dwarven Kingdom of Maldev. Fiendish Codex I said that the world on which Maldev exists is called Guldor. It's a world with stars the size of small moons and mountains that dwarf those of other worlds.

Before. "Kiaransalee's ascension as a dark goddess of evil predates even the banishment of Araushnee..." - Demihuman Deities, page 23.

Really great to know. If she fell before Araushnee I wonder why she became a drow with dark skin like Lolth. Smiling

Also, does someone know when Orcus takes his revenge on Kiaransalee after his resurrection?

Demihuman Deities called her a "dark elf," so it's likely she always had dark skin, even though she wasn't a drow in the modern sense. Perhaps the Ssri-tel'quessir, the dark elven race that eventually became the drow of Toril, originated in Threnody, some of them escaping through portals while Kiaransalee's armies were destroying the world.

In my version of the story, Kiaransalee was a dark-skinned avariel.
