Input format

Is there a way that a user can change the default input format for posts?

I'd like to be able to have

I'd like to be able to have "BBCode w/Freelink" enabled (for me) by default.  It seems more like what I'm used to.  (Basically, "BBCode w/Freelink w/o Linebreak" seems to add a lot of double-spacing, especially with regard to quoted text, as part of its default behavior.)
