Inner Planes: My version

This is a reimagining of the Inner Planes. In it, there are 6 elements. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Darkness, Life, and Death. Death and Darkness are based on the Negative Energy Plane. Life and Light are based on the Positive Energy Plane.
Quasielements resulting from this:
Air+Light=Thunder
Air+Life=Breath
Air+Darkness=Fog
Air+Death=Disease
Earth+Light=Crystal
Earth+Life=Wood
Earth+Darkness=Dirt
Earth+Death=Barren
Fire+Light=Energy
Fire+Life=Soul
Fire+Darkness=Ash
Fire+Death=Ember
Water+Life=Blood
Water+Light=Freshwater
Water+Darkness=Oil
Water+Death=Saltwater

And where all opposite elements intersect, the Primordial Plane.

I will update this periodically.

That's eight.

What's the difference between Ash and Ember?

Oops.

Various other corrections time!

Four normal elements and four energy elements.
Paraelements not Quasielements (always get those confused)
Fire+Light= Radiance not energy.

The plane of Ash is a desert constantly "raining" ashes, while the plane of Ember is a giant ember. More in-depth detail will come when I get to the Paraelements.

Okay, a write-up on the Neutral Elemental Plane is coming soon.

Re: Inner Planes: My version

One question I have, and it might sound from the way I'm phrasing it that I'm trying to tear into your idea. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm not doing that, this is just an honest question that I think anyone should consider before using something in their game, whether it's their own idea or someone else's.

Why is this version of the Inner Planes a better alternative than the current version? What makes it more interesting as a setting, and why would it be more fun in a person's game?

I'm not saying it's not interesting, mind. I'm not dismissing it. I'm just asking you to sell your idea a bit more. Not just describing the different planes, but tell us about how cool it is as a whole, about why you made it. Basically, give a rundown on why and how it's awesome, what makes it speak to you as a cool place to have adventures. Laughing out loud
