The stars are right, and time has come to new editon of Necronomicon is to be written, so I call all insane cultists, deranged sorcerers and warlocks out there, and invate all who like Lovecraft´s work and Planescape to come and help in writing this new edition.

I have noticed that Cthulhu mythos themes pop all over threads sooner or later so I decided to open thread dedicated to all who like both.
So fell free to rave and rant about Mythos/Planescape and how would influence ieach other, all crazy ideas are welcome.
Also, if you have some "nice" visions (drawings) of Mythos/Planescape post them here so all of multiverse can bask in their glory.

One disclamer to dear readers: since all great books on Mythos lore are writen by deranged persons not all information should be taken for truth (even great Abdul Alhazred has wrote that there is no Shoggots on prime but soon he was proven wrong), and readers should discern real info from rantings of barmy wizards. Nyar!!!

P.S. I woul like to give wery special thanks to our publisher Clueless who has made all of this posible. In the name of Great Old Ones and muliverse I thank you. (and if you feel if this thread needs relocation, please move it, thanks.) Smiling

The Far Realms, right down to the weird intellects that drive worshipers insane, seems to be the canonical thing for this.

If you want to go with this crossover without using the Far Realms, the notion that "even death may die" could have interesting resonances with a sect of the Dustmen and the Sinkers. Great Old Ones could easily refer to the original Baatorians or the obyrith. As for where the "pantheon" lies, since they're something different from gods, or even magic, they could be someplace interesting like, oh, the base of the Spire, or beyond the Hinterlands.

Astral plane (or Ethereal plane) also springs into mind becaouse in "Dunwich horror" story, part of Necronomicon says that Great Old Ones dvel in space between spaces (sonds like Astral to me), so:
Home of Yog-Sothoth would be Astral (Etheral and Temporal Energy Plane are also appropriate, ater all Time and Space are one in Yog-Sothoth).
Also some of the dead god husks are actualy Great Old Ones in torpor like state waiting for time when "the stars are right".

There could be some serious potential for vestiges in this (pact magic from the tome of magic). More on this later...

Aldough I have never read tome of magic, and I´m not familiar with vestiges mechanic, it seem´s it is good idea to treat sleeping Graeat Old Ones as vestiges, since they are not in full power.
