Is there some way to code or type some entries for the encyclopedia to help out?
No promises, just an question at this point.

That's fair. If there is some text way to put in an file which you can then cut and paste, that lets me do a bit at a time.
One way is to initially assign letters so the people can deal with the common ones. Obscure ones can be added on an ad-hoc basis.
I've actually gotten the revision done now. So you should be able to see an option to edit things now if you go look at the encyclopedia page.
1) Re cutting and pasting - the entry form will allow for that. If you are using firefox you want to follow the directions on how to allow cutting and pasting from firefox, some of the security options in FFire are screwy regarding that subject. If you use IE you should be perfectly fine.
2) Re assigning letters. We actually have a little more focused system for that - if someone searches on the page and nothing comes up, then an entry is automatically created based on the search terms and someone from the editorial team (volunteer basis, see the link on the front page to join up) is notified by email so they can go fill in the information. That way things that people are actively looking for get priority first.
I'm working on putting that together for folks. Considering I wrote up the first version of the encyclopedia code in one frenzied post-dinner session, I want to make sure it'll hold together.
