hard to read forums

The backround for the forums on the new site is making them hard to read.  Pre-existing forum posts seem to be cut off on the left side.

Example link please? I've not seen any cut offs on the threads I'm looking at so far.

Actually, it is going wacky

Actually, it is going wacky in every forum I go to.  The first few posts are fine, but towards the bottom of the page, the text goes way to the left as soon as it clears the avatar in each post.  This cuts off a good portion of text each time, making it impossible to read.  The avatars themselves seem slightly out of place too.

EDIT: OK, not every forum I guess.  So far it's about 50/50.  The tag line at the top of each post, which has the time and post #, seems to be shifting left as well, usually starting with the third post down.

(sorry, my formatting box was halfway off-screen. That was to put the cursor where I can see. ) 0           The formatting box gets cut off too. Also, some posts go off the forum page, which is annoying, but               still is incredibly irritating (Azure's post above does it)       also, where are the PMs?

You can get to the PMs from the main PW.com page (lower left side). That said, a small link to PM functionality from the main forum page would be really nice.

Also, I'm still experiencing the "text area is overlapped by the site column on the far right, so I can't see what I'm typing" bug.

Hmm.  If I go to Create Content, then Quotes, from the main page, the text area there is still buggy.  I'll post again if I find more areas on the site with the bug.

Please do - it's not so much

Please do - it's not so much a bug as a misjudgement on the width of the TinyMCE - so I'm simply removing the sidebar in any of those sections while I try to find a way to set the width for the rich-text editor or a way to turn it off for specific forms - like quotes where it's really really unnessecary.

As an additional note - I've not been able to replicate the 'wonky' forum threads, where the posts start sliding over and over and over till theres lots of clear space and itty bitty post space, in any browser I've looked in so far (IE6, IE7, FF2). I fully believe it's happening for you - but it's just not being nice enough to happen when I'm looking so I can figure out what's going on. Screenshots would be *very* appreciated. An emailed copy of the source code your browser is seeing would be invaluable as well (right click in most browsers and you should see a way to "View Source Code" then copy and paste to: [REDACTED]

Using firefox3 instead of explorer, and lo and behold, the wonkyness is gone

I think I've narrowed the

I think I've narrowed the alignment-left shifting to a problem with IE7 and it's CSS handling. I'm going to keep looking at it to see if that's the problem.

In the meantime - the rich text editor should be working now in regards to staying within it's own column space.
