Bruce holds out his hands as small bolts of lighting jump between them. There is a flash of light, and a sound like a tree breaking in half as a blast of lightning shoots out into the fog.

OOC: Manifest an electric-themed energy wave for 15 power points (15d6 shock damage in a 120 ft cone). Damage = 63. Reflex save DC 28 for half damage.

BTW: I don't play alot of dnd in real life, so my dice dont get used very often. I bought them to use them, damnit!

Whow, hold your fire!, you haven't even seen any opponents yet, let them be seen before you start using your 'ammo', Siddharta growls

I'll have to post later, but you can look at the pretty map while you wait.

1 square is 5 feet, give your moves with grid numbers. Green circles are tree trunks, not treetops.

OOC: Trias, I use Map X (it's free and can be found here):

I also use Dungeoncrafter 1 (can also be found somewhere on that site) when I need to get a quick building map.

I'm working on the long post now.

As it is, initiative looks like this:

Enemies: 20
Bruce: 19.5 (PCs win in a tie)
Trift: 19
Canzon: 12
Sidharta: 4
Yebena: 2
Drum: Unaware combat has started
Eru'maho: waiting on a roll

ooc: O!, right, sorry for the mixup

IC: I will cast Haste, extended, by virtue of my metamagic-rod(2nd use for 2day) on myself and any ally willing to receive it. and stay at the spot i am, and scan around the vicinity to see what i am missing.

Spot 1st and listen 2nd: (+4 spot additionally if someone is actually hiding in shadows)

Edit to correct my misinterpretation and give correct action, i presume you work initiative, roll 1x per combat?..

Bruce takes a few steps back from the fog. "Hold on..." He mumbles.

Bruce's voice goes dull. "This may seem an odd question, but does anyone have anything capable of dispersing the fog? A strong wind, or a dispel of some sort?"

Bruce launches a blast of fire into the fog. There is something about the way Bruce is standing that gives you the impression that he doesn't realize that he has done this.

OOC: I think it's silly to be able to dispell conjuredations like fog cloud, but that huge blast of fire ought to be enough to do the trick (and to piss off the druid beyond your mortal comprehension too). What power are you using?

OOC: Oh... I was just throwing a small flame from my guantlet. No power, just some produce flame action. Maybe enough to drill a hole through the fog, but no way will it disperse it.

In all honesty, I only did it because I had a standard action I didn't want to go to waste, and I want to keep an eye on my power points.

“I will clear up some of this magical mess once I have some indication of the position of our potential assailants. The fog appears stationary; I suggest we simply keep our distance to for now.”

Canzonzabar prepares his powers of magic nullification while Trift peers about for any sign of invisibly approaching creatures. The two also spread out more, as the falxugon does not want to cluster up and draw fire.

OOC: Trift moves to d24 and readies to shoot. Canzon moves to g26 and readies to dispel.

19 Bonus for Spot, Trift to do

Eru'Maho spins towards Bruce. <NO!!!/FIRE BAD!> the telepathic scream carries with it a flurry of disjointed images and an impression of primal panic. His actual voice is quite calm, however. "This will hansssle I." A Gust of Wind flies into the fog cloud, hopefully dispersing it.

OOC: Tyui, you have improved initiative but forgot to enter it under the initiative heading, your initiative is actually 8.

This puts initiative at:

Enemies: 20
Bruce: 19.5 (PCs win in a tie)
Trift: 19
Canzon: 12
Eru'maho: 8
Sidharta: 4
Yebena: 2
Drum: Aware that something is going down now, not entirely sure what.

Round 2:

Eru'maho's spell completely dissapates the fog you can see clearly now, but still no 'Leths can be seen. (Sidharta, you cannot see any invisible ones either.)

ooc:Yes, i name all the 'party members' as targets for my haste, and then some spaces left over i think...it is for them individually to decide whether to lower their magic resistance or not and to save vs the spell i guess, lol, though i think it would be stupid to resist a haste spell

" I'd like to think that my display of electric power drove them off, but given what we were told earlier, that seems unlikely."

Bruce looks at the mud that they are all in. "I reccomend procession, with caution. I can't say I would be suprised if they were hiding in the muck. Just in case, I'll go in first."

Bruce begins to walk forward, keeping an eye on the muck around him.

I'll follow you now, and Siddharta moves around Drum and follows Bruce, watching his and Bruce's flanks.

ooc: i'll move up to 60 ft, 30 normal/ 30 haste bonus, but stay 10 feet behind Bruce.... ready action to cast Divine Power on himself when he sees any opponent, and i presume this is for round 3

"It is higly improbable. When they must, 'leths "waste thier opponent's resources" by throwing themselves at the problem until whatever they don't like is dead or they run out of 'leths--they never run out of 'leths. These are either scouts for a larger group, decoys to lead us into an ambush, or they are summoning reinforcements to attack us in greater force (which they will do in a matter of moments if that is the case). Do not continue foward. Spread out and engage them here before they attack us in more favorable terrain or with overwhelming numbers. "

Bruce:

While you don't see any 'leths, anywhere, you also don't see any animal life besides the insects

(OOC: for anyone else who rolls spot again it's a DC 20 to notice this.)

Thank you for the counsel, i will be beefing up more when i have a spare moment then..and by all means, lets keep moving, hasted, but surely....(instead of slow but surely, lol)

ooc: then i will not ready an action, but on my next initiative cast Divine Power for sure..i do have to think it if i needed to 'extend' this spell also, hmmz, will decide when u call round 3

ooc:
Duration of spells:
See Invisibility, cast during surprise round, 120 minutes,
Haste, cast during 1st actual round, extended, 24 rounds (-2 if starting 3rd round)

“Let us go, lest we waste more resources unneeded. If they are here, they will act.”

Graced with increased speed by Siddharta’s spell, Canzonzabar and Trift moves on along with the rest of the group. The harvester devil hangs back and ensures he is not at the edge of the party, though he makes certain to keep at least 10 ft distance to Yebena.

"Agreed. Waiting here wastes time, which is important to us. If they went to alert a larger group, or to summon more of themselves, there's not alot we can do about it. When they show up, we will fight them. Until then, Both of us say we should try to cover as much ground as we can before we have to fight them."

Bruce suddenly lifts up into the air. There is no noticable reason why this should happen. He also seems unfazed by it.

OOC: Bruce is 30 ft in the air, and will follow the group.

"I have a better idea."

Yebena vanishes from sight.

Sidharta, you cannot see her despite your spell (you can see a lot of magical auras where she is, though). You can, however, tell that what she cast was an evocation spell. You can make a spellcraft check for a best guess on how she did this if you want.

There is a few seconds pause, and then an indestinct shape resolves itself into that of a mezzoloth about 30 feet in front of Canzonzabar and Bruce.

Now, you hear movement, and splashes in the boggy ground. The 'leths are invisible (Sidharta, you can see them, and can count six Kelubar Ghereleths) and come from all sides. A listen check (DC 25 allows you to determine how many 'leths there are).

I lift my eyebrow up in an attempt to notice Yebena casting,

i lower my voice to a growl and say to all, 6 incoming, maybe more, and i listen intently to the sound falls, cant hear for sure if there are more, but 6 for sure, inbound all round,

Siddharta turns to not be flanked by any and tries to finish his spell, Divine Power.

Sidharta:

You don't need to make a listen check, you can see them, and Sidharta can count (hopefully Smiling ).

You notice that many of the sylables in Yebena's spell are similar to those that create force effects, you fail to see how this would directly aid in making somone invisible, though.
