Yeah, and I'd say it should still be of fairly low quality. It may be edible, but like most fast food, it's usually rather bland or greasy. However, it might actually be faster than burger joints in our reality.
If you want good food, you're paying for something like a Hero's Feast item, which would be significantly more expensive.

I agree create food and water is supposed to be bland so any specialized version would be of low quality as well.

It can change flavor, i'm not sure if it can make it very tasty... Actually, it might, but you'd need a cooking professional to cast a special and good taste

I'm reminded of the Samurai Sandwich Chef skit of SNL, or the Soup **** of Friends fame... as well as a few other 'really easy to massively irritate' chef tropes. Only now.. the chef is casting Meteor Swarm. (Since restaurant destruction is common enough in these jokes.. it's ok to have him massive destruction of his restaurant)

I'm kinda imagining it... but won't the guys at the counter run out of slots for the Create Food & Water spells eventually?
Well, I was kinda thinking of Vending Machines, placed all over Sigil (and other cities throughout the planes). Pop a copper and out goes a bottle of pure Water Plane water! Or maybe a nice hot styro cup of new and improved Bycoco, now made smoother and richer with choice cocoa beans from the cocoa farms of Bytopia! Or a can of Mammon Cola (made out of real worms). .... dunno, something like that... :shock:
Given the low level of create food and water and such spells, I can imagine that it'd be very much like an actual restaurant, except the food would be prepared in a six-second time period. You could also take a page out of Chronomancer, and have there be specific spells for creating certain food (A create hamburger spell, a conjure spaghetti spell, etc.).
