Exocet font

I like the planewalker.com symbol and color choices, but the sans serif font doesn't set the "mood" like Exocet or some other font. Just a humble suggestion...

Do you have a sample of that font anywhere as I'm not famaliar with it under that name? or is it the planewalker font you're thinking of?... the choice of using verdana is for readability over flavor actually. Smiling

Yes, the Planewalker font. I believe the original name of that font is "Exocet", but I may be mistaken.

I agree that Verdana is a lot more readable. In fact I think it's an excellent choice. (no I'm not sucking up, I do like it)

I'm only suggesting a more flavourful font for such things as the www.planewalker.com banner at the top, and maybe some of the other banners. Like the banner at the top of each forum. These large-font-size banners could handle the planewalker font and still be readable and it would (I believe) really add character to the site.

Thanks for entertaining my suggestions.

Exocet was interesting when Planescape first came out, but since then everyone has used it. I've seen it on so many movies, books, and advertisements that it's become boring to me.

The Planewalker font is a modified version of the Exocet used in the TSR Planescape line. Hooray for being modified!

So, is this something the site developers are willing to consider? Changing the main banners to a more stylized font, I mean? At present, it looks... well, unfinished.

Right now, that's rating a little bit low on the priority list of things to get fixed up. (And by Gencon I'm hoping you'll see *why* it's rating low on the ToDo list...) I just don't have the time to do a photoshop job and get banners made.

On the other hand it would be a lot easier for me to just plug some in if someone were wanting to make some... *hint hint* Eye-wink .
