Environmental Manifestation (Feat)

Since my submitted Feat aparently spent no time in the "New Articles" list of the site before being shoved out of the way by 50,000,000 "Letters from Baator", I'll submit it here for critique.

Environmental Manifestation
Maintain control of morphic planes through use of Psionics
Type: Psionic
Requirements: Constitution: 13+, Wisdom: 13+, Concentration: 6 ranks, Control: 6 ranks. 1 rank in Knowledge: The Planes (Limbo, Ethereal, or Astral depending on plane this feat is used on)

Thorough experimentation with the morphic natures of planes such as the Ethereal Plane, the Astral Plane, and Limbo, you learn that controling the environments of such planes is remarkably similar to focusing one's own mind to manifest powers.

Benefit: When atempting to control the environment of Limbo, the Astral, or the Ethereal, you may roll a concentration check instead of a control check. You still use the table found with the Control skill to determine the result. In addition, you gain a +2 synergy bonus to your Control skill rolls from your ranks in Concentration.

Underpowered.

While it is conceptually viable, for such a simple feat the prerequisites are way too high. Secondly, you give a synergy bonus to a skill that you’ve made completely useless. The reason one would take this is to replace Control checks (which you’ve wasted 6 ranks in up to this point) with Concentration checks. So you go and replace the Control skill with Concentration but give a synergy bonus to the skill which you’ve just rendered useless? It seems silly.

Here’s a fix I’ve just come up with:

5 ranks in the Control skill give you a +2 synergy bonus to your Concentration checks to control morphic planes.

Now you’ve replaced one skill with another skill., but still give some incentive for taking ranks in the aforementioned replaced skill.

1) I wanted to basically merge the two skills into one, hence requireing both skills.

2) The Synergy bonus was to give an immediate benefit to taking the feat, since a character wouldn't get the main benefit of the feat (freeing up skill points) until later. That way one comes into play as the other is phased out.
