Entire Planescape Collection For Sale on Ebay

The Entire Set of 30 Role-playing Planescape items is for sale in the above lot.

Well after only a small number of offers for parts of the set on this site I decided to just take the plunge and sell the whole lot on Ebay. While I likely could have gotten slightly more for breaking it up, the hassle of doing that isn't really worth it for me. (I work two jobs, one of which takes me out of town 4.5 days a week, and close on my Duplex in 30 days)

But anyway sorry to those who made offers for small parts there just wasn't enough interest to warrant breaking the lot. So here it is.

Good Luck I do honestly hope somehow from this site wins it or perhaps a group from the site will win it and break it up.

Have a nice day and once I have more time I do plan to come back here and contribute once again.

Gah, and I just won a bid for Planes of Chaos, Planes of Conflict, and the Campaign Setting elsewhere. Argh! Maybe I can sell the duplicates...

Those boxed sets by themselves normally do sell pretty well so I wouldn't think you would have much of an issue reselling them at all. Though an extra copy of the main setting might be useful if you are running a prolonged or very detailed campaign.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. Specially now that I've checked out the prices on the European eBay sites. Even if I have to recoup postage from the US to Europe, it might still work out. That's why I placed a bid! Smiling

Not that it mattes anymore... I have to bow out. Smiling

I'd be interested in hearing what I should be expecting to pay for the various modules on eBay… Anybody knows of a site that keeps track of such things?

Unfortunately, I don't but keep in mind the price of the material depends heavily on its conditions and on the shipping cost (the higher the shipping cost, the less a customer will pay for the book\box itself). Rarity is also a major factor: Italy is probably the most expensive place where to buy and sell Planescape stuff, follwed by Germany and France, as it's quite rare to find around here (to give you an idea, the Planes of Law boxed set without the Monstrous Supplement sells for 128 USD plus shipment in Italy).

Oh, that's great. I should bid about USD 500 or more, and sell the duplicates in Italy, then! Laughing out loud

Before you do so, be warned that there aren't many english speaking italians out there and those who can speak english don't necessarily have that many money to "waste" on Planescape books Laughing out loud

Well getting $545.69 isn't too bad (plus shipping) I was expecting more along the lines of $650-$800 but oh well there are going off to a happy new home and I get to further fill my bank account.

Here's how I tried to estimate my max bid (now that the auction is over). First I decided that I did not want to risk more than approximately CHF 500 (USD 430) including shipping. Since shipping was unknown, I estimated that at USD 100. Thus my USD 330 limit. Then I guessed (based on half a dozen eBay actions) that USD 10 per book and USD 40 per boxed set was probably a fair estimate (this not taking into account rare items that command more, obviously). Thus: 6 x 40 + 24 x 10 = USD 480 without shipping, good condition, no bonus for rare items.

What do others think that have bought Planescape material online?

When I bought my Planescape stuff (which I have already sold back Sad), I paid much more than 40USD per boxed set and 10USD per book and let the record show I've never bought anything Planescape from an Italian seller! Was more along the lines of 70USD per boxed set and 50USD per book, all in excellent (near mint) conditions. Some of them were even new shrinkwrap Smiling

Hm, I guess I was lucky to get Campaign Boxed Set, Planes of Chaos Boxed Set, and Planes of Conflict Boxed set for USD 73.85 (plus USD 54.00 shipping). Then again, they have not arrived, yet.
