They actually tried to stage a fight like that in the gladiator pits of Plague-Mort. Attracted quite a crowd, too, until it was revealed that the dragon and Tarrasque were both polymorphed mephits. The promoter was run out of town, but they say she's chief advisor to the Arch-Lector now. They like that kind of moxie in Plague-Mort.

I agree, this is more of a thing for a greyhawk board.

Besides, the answer is obvoius, dragons. They can fly out of the Tarresques range, and still blast them with breath weapons.
and if all else fails, they can drop rocks on it.

It would depend on the age of the dragon and type of dragon vs the Tarrasque... but yeah I agree with everyone- that is really Grey Hawk related, I don't think I've ever come across a dragon or a tarrasque once since we've been playing PS lol... it's been mostly, Tieflings *HUGS the Tieflings!*, Githyanki, Githzerai, Bataazu, Tanari, and several other outsiders... *shrugs* Is there even any Grew Hawk forums?

If dragon is powerful enough to "cast as a level 17 sorcerer" then it's powerful enough to trounce the tarrasque. Otherwise, it can't cast wish so it can't win.

That's what a scroll is for. Yes - dragons can read too. Eye-wink

Not that I've ever considered tossing a literate wyrmling at a party before to see if they'll run screaming or not... never.

I've been reading D&D books for nearly 25 years now, but never once came across the entry for a tarrasque until 3e. I guess I didn't care too much to research anything not PS or Mystara related.

Personally, I'd be less concerned about who would win than what kind of damage the fight would do to the countryside if it became physical.

But with a Tarrasque, EVERYthing's physical.

If your dragon's a Signer, it could just imagine the tarrasque out of existence.

Yes, but if your Tarrasque's a Cipher, it'll sense the cadence of the multiverse and shred the dragon while it's still in the egg.

Erm, I'm new here, but doesn't this board say it's open for all RPG Discussion, planescape or otherwise?

Dragons are boring and overused. The Tarrasque is at least unique and orriginal.

Sure, it's just that I don't think it says it's open for pointless and poorly spelled questions, planescape or otherwise. I mean, there's plenty of that on the WotC boards already, why drag it over here, especially if it's not PS-related?

But it seems people here are more hospitable to clueless berks than I'd expect from a typical Cager/PS consumer.

We try to entertain everyone. Smiling

The Open RPG section can be for anything really, but it would be nice if folks could keep it at least tangentially related to Planescape. Still, the funny responses this has garnered warrants keeping it alive, at least until it degenerates into p0wned!1 leetspeak. So, in the spirit of PS:

Who would win: A Githyanki riding a Red Dragon, or an Ullitharid riding a Tarrasque?

Eye-wink
