Seems there are going to be Ratatosk too. Although, judging from the pictures, they are less the happy fuzzy ewok-wannabes and more like horrifying fuzzy things that hiss at you and eat your feet in the dead of night.

PS: If somebody could fix the pictures... I have no clue how to use the IMG tag.

EDIT: Broken image tags removed.

Thanks 420. How do you work the magic?

Anyway, I agree that the ratatosk were always the smartass rat-bastards (pun intended, sorry if the language is too poignant) of the multiverse, ferrying insults between the Upper and Lower planes, taunting travelers, and otherwise annoying the everliving fertilizer out of anybody unlucky enough to be noticed. However, they are still essentially squirrels... and squirrels are cute... I mean look at that fluffy tail.. aren't you a cutie... yes you are... yes you a... ahem!

I think what I'm getting at, in so many words, is that the pictures above look more like DiTerlizzi's version of Chaos Beasts (Planes of Chaos) than the annoying but goodnatured ratatosk. I mean, if I saw one of those during the day, I would probably run for it, not to mention what would happen at night. Maybe that's how they get fertilizer for the big tree?
