Apart from what he said (Wicke) I am not sure what message your all trying to read
"The crazy undead wannabee girl's babbles?", nah, I wont bother with her rantings
Cross Purposes OOC
Burning, remember the old Innuendo skill from 3.0? It got turned into an aspect of the Bluff skill in 3.5. I believe.
Tim (and others): Since Virash is the intended recipient, he doesn't have to make a Sense Motive check to understand the message. Anyone else wanting to understand the message would need to make the check, though.

Good luck picking up on that! I got a 36 Bluff check! Even if you rolled a nat 20, you'd still have to have a +16 to your Sense Motive skill. XD
I'm realizing just how sick of a Bluff check Nim has. Heheh...
@ Zimmy, yes I know darl
@ Wicke, sigh!
I'm typing up what Nim's doing and I can't help but giggle.
Btw, let me know if I'm moving too quickly with my actions. I can revise what I'm doing to keep it all in check. I just see the situation, and it's pretty clear to me what Nim is going to do.
Now that there, that's what we call an 'Intimidate check modifier.'
You're doing fine.
I may have a day or two of no posts soon (real life again), but it shouldn't be a week or anything. Heh.

So tempted to ask for a roll to determine a critical hit. I can't recall the crit rules for improvised weapons offhand...

Sadly, I don't think improvised weapons have a 19-20 crit range.
I aim to please. And just wait until Nim really gets going!
Also, just to put it out there, Nim might not have an exit strategy.
Feh, who needs exit strategies when you have a party to hide behind?
Or a Bluff modifier like Nim's. Holy hell.
Aaaanyway
I'm waiting on the rest of you guys, but if you're waiting on me, let me know.

I was wondering if you wanted an intimidation check from me or not. Nim's not purposefully aiming to intimidate anybody, but it could be a happy side-effect of what she's doing.
Sure, you can do an imtimidation check, but tossing severed heads down the stairs will certainly give you a nice bonus to the check. Also, doing really well on a Bluff to imitate a tanar'ri (or whatever she has in mind) will likely have a similar effect.
Also, there's the Aid Another game mechanic...

And I have no clue what to add atm, although I would like to post something, maybe I'll just wait, and let it slide, lol, the head that is
I'll press ahead with Nim's other ideas then!
Edit: Looking over the Ghost Sound's description, it's not clear if I can produce the two different sound effects I'd want to with a single casting. If I can't, I'll do a second casting after she says "I can smell you".
I can post the reactions of the guys downstairs either sooner or later, just let me know when.

You don't need to roll Bluff/Intimidate constantly; just once per encounter is fine, unless the encounter goes on for a very long time. (Unless you're trying Bluffs for two or more separate things, I suppose.)

OH! Oops. Then you can ignore those last two or something.
And that's probably going to be the last thing that Nim does until and unless something happens down below or somebody up top decides to do something themselves.
I'll give you guys some time to come up with ideas.

Ohh, this is too perfect. Sphinx rolled a natural 1 on his Concentration check to hide the display of his Psionic power. If the DM rules he fails then here is the description for a display of a "Mental" power such as Read Thoughts:
"Mental
A subtle chime rings once in the minds of creatures within 15 feet of either the manifester or the subject (at the manifester’s option). At the manifester’s option, the chime can ring continuously for the power’s duration. Some powers describe unique mental displays."
----
Thus Sphinx would have the subtle chime ring in the minds of any creatures down below on which are in the path of the 'cone' of read thoughts. Bwahahhaha

If anyone is hesitant to join in due to a lack of ranks in Bluff, remember that the Aid Another DC is only 10.

Cadence: I can't really let Sphinx choose how a power displays in a case where he actively tried to suppress the display, then rolled a natural 1 on the check. If he had decided to show the power display at the beginning, it'd be another story.
Also, I want to advise all those in the party with Vancian/point-based abilities -- you guys have a big day ahead of you. Assume a pretty large number of encounters before anyone will be able to rest and regain spells/powers. This is particularly important for Sphinx; as a pure 'caster,' he can run out of steam.

On second thought, that sounds more fair
"Act. Do. Be." -Factol Rhys
I find it weird that he is using concentration for not displaying a display, I would have thought that like with casting magic on Athas/ Dark Sun per example, the Bluff skill gets used for that kind of mechanics..
At last count, so far I've used three 0-level and one third level spell (acid splash, prestidigitation, ghost sound and dispel magic, respectively). I'm still good to go.
Trying to step things up a bit. I'm guessing it won't be hard to get these guys to turn on one another. We are in Curst, after all.
Note @ group: Haven't much to add unfortunately, and can't speak Abyssal.
Note @ self: Learn Abyssal!
Don't worry too much about understanding what Nim's saying. She's just putting on a show for everybody down below. Plus, I figure avoiding a fight right now will extend our resources for later.
Also, I hope I haven't been dominating things too much, though I admit it's been a blast watching Nim's Bluff skills work as beautifully as they have been. ("Don't kill us!") XD
Not worried at all, just letting you know why I am lacking in posts
And about the rest, yes you have , but again, no worries
Maybe the DM missed this comment. just in case she did.
The SRD clearly indicates that it's Concentration that a 3.5 psion would use for this purpose.

Weird... and imo wrong
Reason why I am saying that is: in Dark Sun (hiding your spellcasting was an intricate part of the setting), it was Bluff, and all other subversive actions use bluff to have any results along those ways, why divert in this one case to concentrate? just daft.
(Ranting at the illogic of SRD, not you peeps personally)
So for psions its one rule, but for magicians they have to use bluff, what a load of B....
What spellcasting classes in Dark Sun have Bluff available to them as a class skill?
BoGr Guide to Missile Combat:
1) Equip a bow or crossbow.
2) Roll a natural 1 on d20.

Class Skills
Bluff (Cha), Disguise (Cha) and Literacy (None) are now class skills for wizards.
Class Skills
The templar’s class skills (and key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con),
Craft (Int) Diplomacy (Cha), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge
(any) (Int), Literacy (none), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language (none) and Spellcraft (Int).
No changes of import for this discussion to Psychic Warrior or Psion.
No changes to Ranger, Clerics
Bards are no longer casters.
Wizards are the scapegoats in this setting, thus they HAVE to hide their spellcasting, but, this does not change the fact that Wizards hide it by the use of Bluff, and apparently psions etc. use concentration, utter fallacy.
Templars use all sorts of subterfuge to they also sometimes have to hide their abilities. (also, Templars from other city states are inherent rivals, thus they have to hide from each other in addition to the rivals they have in their own city.
Of all 3.5 psions, only telepaths and metacreatives have Bluff as a class skill. All 3.5 psions have Concentration as a class skill. There's your answer. The authors of the SRD probably wanted all psions to have a good percentage chance to conceal the psionic ability display, but didn't want all psions to be masters of the Bluff skill.

Moment of truth coming up, folks. Hope these berks don't see through the illusion! Heheh...
Exam tomorrow. Will post soon thereafter

Burning, I'd do what I could to get your blade back, but Nim has no idea that it belongs to Lyei.
I will point out one thing though, if you don't quite know what to do: You're supposed to be a demon. How would a demon go about getting that blade?
Well, if this doesnt work I might use charm person next turn..

Don't mock his lisp! It's not nice!
never mind the lisp, rather; note the perfect diplomacy
Reading the rules on that, the Sense Motive check is only necessary for when somebody is trying to "eavesdrop" on the secret message. The message is conveyed by the Bluff check, with success dependent on the result of the check.
