She means a "chain (mail) shirt"
Cross Purposes OOC
Standard chain shirt from the "light armor" section of the armor table (+4 AC bonus, -2 armor check penalty), not the chainmail from the "medium armor" section.

What I said, yea
Also, for Burning: Would it be correct to assume that he had a holy symbol of Leira in his inventory when he was scragged? (We could say it was hidden somewhere in the rest of his equipment, in a hidden pocket or something, if discovery is an issue.)
If so, he doesn't have it on him right now, though.

PM send, again
playing a secretive character really doesn't help when the DM keep blerting out the secrets I am trying so desperately trying to hide...
Regardless of the players knowing it and the characters not, its not cool...
certain things should just be allowed to be kept secret, in order to further the mood of the story and such... but I guess....
Everyone who's read the OOC character creation thread already knows that your PC is a Leiran, Burning. The cat's definitely out of the bag on that one.
This is also why, in the original thread, I had offered to let players send all their information privately; it was you, not me, who went on in that thread about his affinity to Leira.
I also trust that the players are mature enough that their PCs will not have a clue what he is.

Sigh, I might have made that initial mistake, but you keep perpetuating it, which doesn't help at all...
Right, PM's send regarding symbols etc.

Wicke, hate trampling on your parade, but should you not be rolling a disguise check, not a bluff check tsk tsk, use the right mechanics plz ,
though, if the bluff is to hide the spell casting, I am all for it

besides, if she can shift her looks, she should be getting bonuses on her disguise anyway..
Just out of curiosity, Burning, why is the spellcasting rogue putting himself in prime position for the center of melee?
He wants his ring back, asap , no other reason...

In this campaign, no player should assume that their PC will get any particular piece of gear back at any particular period in time. They might. They might not. It might return to them sooner, or later. I pointed this out in the game-ad thread.

Sigh, we know by now your a spoilsport, yea..
So what happens if you don't get it back? Staying with us on the front line?
Euhm, if it turns out that the ring is not attained when we reach the bottom of this building, he will mentally freak out a bit, and then quiet down and get into the back rank, trying to figure a way out to get the ring back.
I did not make a ring and spend money on it, to have it never come back to me, O DM...
Well the DM -DID- mention that the items may or may not be recoverable at the beginning of the character creation in the 'new game' thread.
I did want a ring of invisi, but I'm definitely cool with nothing but "Sphinx's leather clothes +0" hehee - I think it's more fun for my character to have to work harder to do what he wants to do - it'll force me to be more creative (or ridiculous).
Anyhow, special items or not, I'm enjoying the game either way

Of course, when you're playing a 3.5 Psion (Telepath), many of the humanoid NPCs you meet are potential +5 vorpal swords.

As a psi-dominator, you look at humanoid NPCs (with low to moderate Will saves) in the same way a warrior looks at a big arsenal full of magic swords.

If you want a disguise check, add +25 to the roll (base 13, +10 racial, +2 synergy for 5 or more ranks of bluff since I know I'm likely to be observed). I'm fine either way.
And I'm fine if Nim doesn't recover any of her equipment (excepting the aforementioned three objects). As far as she's concerned, she started off with nothing and she's prone to giving away what she makes/finds to people she plays games with.
I will note, the Eversmoking Bottle can be opened without knowing the command word. However, closing it again needs it, otherwise it'll just continue to pour out an endless amount of smoke. Anybody unfortunate/curious enough to open it should be pretty easy to track (unless they figured out a the command word, of course).
At least that would give us a clear target of where to go for our belongings, lol.
my own haste clouds my characters judgement, lol, and my own in this regard to...
aarg.. I always build characters that take some time to flower in effectiveness..
(I prefer more abilities, then singular focus), lol.

Edit: Though being the one in the party to urge the rest in their actions doesn't change.
I like to keep the pace going..

Even more amusing how well it fits with the recent OOC posts.
So, is he standing in the doorway, effectively blocking it from anybody on either side; or is he a couple steps back from it, where he -as well as Virash and Icanthas- would still be able to attack anyone who comes up?
Another game post that makes me laugh out loud...
I just think: "Smartass"
As an aside, I'm going to have to give a lot of thought to how psionics and magic should interact in this game. If Sphinx is able to dominate two opponents in a single round, one of them for an entire week, both at a save DC of 23, with no psionic display whatsoever, making the effect virtually undispellable would probably be a bit much.
With that said, that was a pretty interesting gambit on Sphinx's part. Gives me more opportunity to show Grisev doing Bad Things and being a bastard in general.

Do what you need to do without worrying about me throwing a fit if you put some extra limitations on some of the existing psionic powers, etc. I'm just happy to play
Speaking of which, one thing that I do want to get a final word on is the conversation we had below about power points used:
If you and the subject have a common language, you can generally force the subject to perform as you desire, within the limits of its abilities. If no common language exists, you can communicate only basic commands, such as “Come here,” “Go there,” “Fight,” and “Stand still.” You know what the subject is experiencing, but you do not receive direct sensory input from it, nor can it communicate with you telepathically.
The psionic power is as the wizard spell with the exception of the Augmentations noted in the Psionic power description.
I read it as: 'the telepathic link is made as a result of the spell, with which you can control the actions of a humanoid.
I can see, though, how it could be interpreted as 'a telepathic link will allow you to control the actions of a humanoid with this spell.'
Wizards dominate creatures without the necessity of mindlink - which is what inclined me towards the first interpretation. I'm fine with it either way, but just my thoughts.
"Act. Do. Be." -Factol Rhys
Well with Josidiah seeing this jackass wearing his ancestral blade he will probably swing first ask questions later
Cadence: Yeah, I won't make you spend extra points for that. Also, assume Rivullira was 'willing' for the Mindlink power.

Either or. This encounter will probably lead to combat, but between a telepath, a changeling with an insane Bluff modifier, and a beguiler in the party, I can't always be 100% certain that an encounter will result in combat.
