Looks like Wizards wants to devote a lot of attention to the City of Brass this month. I, for one, am very intrigued by the teaser. I've always had an interest in the city but I've also always felt it gets little more attention than "here there be efreet." IIRC a 3e book had a section on the city but it was more about physical locations. This upcoming article sounds like it will involve culture and society more than geography.
They talked about what would happen to the City of Brass in their adventure path in The Plane Below - the PCs have a chance to help overthrow the Sultan and get someone else in charge. Could be interesting.
