Chronicle of the Righteous

Is it useful?

I have doubts because it seems about the empyreal lords.

I really enjoy it, though usefulness might depend on your needs. About half the book does indeed describe 30+ empyreal lords: demipower-level archons, angels, agaithons (guardinals), and azatas (eladrin-ish). They're all beyond stats and I think would fit great in a Planescape game as personalities with agendas and small cults of worshipers. I don't have the book in front of me, but there's also some planar travelogue and general celestial information, new spells, probably a prestige class, and surely some other stuff.

I don't know if this is helpful - if you have more specific questions I'd be happy to try and answer them.

Thanks, I don't really need new powers (lower level celestial NPC's would be nice tough). I guess there are new monsters like in the fiendish chronicles, my only question is about them, how are they?

What I don't get about the artifacts, that angel started cataloging eons ago, the book should be out of date?
