If I was ever in a fight with an anime character, my tactic would be thus...
Poke them in their huge freaking eyes! Those must have something like -5 to AC.

No no, just speak English at them. Anime characters LOVE English. Violence is not the answer... Of course if you were ever in a fight with a member of Section Nine... Well just hope you aren't... Same with Spike Spiegel.
Course if you were in a fight with the Renton and Eureka in the Nirvash you wouldn't have any eyes to poke... er well, not fleshy ones anyway. The point is, all you'd have to do is not fight. They can't even bare to kill people who are trying to kill them.
Of course if you were fighting Edward Elric the best thing to do might actually be to poke him in the eyes. Just make sure to aim low... Then again he could duck and then you'd never reach them... yeah, the best thing to do is just not mention his height at all and just try to convince him there's no reason for him to be trying to turn you into sand or whatever.
Summon the Harmonium. Immediately.
