Just let me know which ones you're needing to fix up and I can return them to you so you can do that.

Thanks! - you can take down all the Blade of Innocence articles. I really just posted them in my sleep.

I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Now that I understanding the publishing/submission system I promise to be better.

thanks and apologies!

Not a problem - you should see them in your submissions again!

I can't really get a hang of

I can't really get a hang of this new forum style. I forum a lot on other forums and all, but this one is... a bit difficult to navigate.

For example it won't let me edit all of my posts(just some of them).
Like in this tread -> /forum/cinder-house-passengers-campaign-art-ne... , I can't edit the upper half of my posts(I wanted to fix one of the pictures that was broken).

And I really don't understand the new edit option beside the view button, it lets me edit the firwst post in a thread regardless who posted it.

And another thing is that I can't get to a normal posting window like I managed to get yesterday(in modron art thread) which allowed me to use forum codes to post pictures and all those nifty "Microsoft Word" like abilities.
And somehow I can't get regular bbcode to work.

Sorry for ranting and complaining, I'm just a bit lost.

ACK! That last one is my fault - I fixed something and then forgot to fix it back! Let me get off work and then I can get that cleared back up for you.

Ok - the RealText format

Ok - the RealText format should be available again in those sections.

Please note for me one example each of a comment of your own that you Can and Can't edit - I need the exact comment numbers to work with on that thread, so I can compare settings.

And no - you shouldn't be able to see the 'edit' button up there and be able to do anything with it - that's *really* odd.

Please remember that this is a brand new install for us, it's just as new to me as to you right now - I'd originally asked folks to test things out for me a week or two ago and well... at least we're catching the bugs now.

My apologies for the

My apologies for the hiccups there. Loks liek Drupal handles post access differently than any other system I've ever seen. Apparently they have more stringent accountability than any other board system out there so there's a lot of default 'you can't' going on here.

a) You can't edit an original 1st post (a node)

b) You can't edit any other post (a comment) once someone else has already replied to it.

The idea in both cases is to preserve the sancticty of the ongoing conversation. The reason you were able to access the edit button is because I was hoping that would allow you the right to update and edit your *own* posts. Which it doesn't. That would explain both of the 'bugs' you ran across. Less bug and more expectations not fitting witht he software powers.

So... looks like I'm going to be writing a new module to give us that power. Hang tight and you should see that change in as soon as I can get it written up.

I wanted to edit post #18

I wanted to edit post #18 in that thread, but I can't edit any of my the posts above post #27.

Isn't that odd( they might be outfated, but I don't know )...

As I said...

I'm willing to bet that's the cause of it. I'm working on a fix.

Ok, Duster - can you do me

Ok, Duster - can you do me a favor and check something for me?

a) Create a new topic and confirm for me that you're able to see an edit button for the very first post? (Or check a topic you yourself started)

 b) Confirm for me that the edit button at the top for *this* thread is gone?

I did and I get the EDIT

I did and I get the EDIT button above my window.

When I clicked it took me to topic editing page.

I can't see the regular editing button in the lower right corner of the post.

Sorry for posting this a couple of days late.

~on the other hand I edited this post.

The first post has it's edit

The first post has it's edit button in a different location. That's expected behavior for drupal right now. It's low enough on the list of things to fix that I think it can wait for now.
